“Jeff Healey, a Canadian guitarist, singer and songwriter whose band sold millions of blues-rock records and who also pursued a passion for old-time jazz, playing the trumpet and clarinet, died on Sunday in Toronto. He was 41. He died of lung cancer, his publicists said. Jeff had battled cancer since age 1, when a rare form of retinal cancer known as Retinoblastoma claimed his eyesight.”
I always liked alot of Jeff’s music, and Road House has a special place in my DVD collection as that one movie that is so bad, you just keep watching it over and over and over. My wife bought me the DVD as a ‘gag’ gift because she says I want the movie on TV every time it’s on. Jeff and his band had a small role in the movie.
Chances are if you over the age of 30 and a male, you probably watched Evel Knievel on television or owned and played with an Evel Knievel toy of some kind.

I remember spending hours upon hours playing with the toy motorcycle and ramps. He was definitely an original and I don’t think we’ll ever see that kind of performer again in our lifetime.
RIP Evel.
