I missed her!

Megan Fox was staying at the Hotel Bethlehem.

Hollywood star Megan Fox has come and gone from Bethlehem before most residents even knew she was here.

Fox, one of the stars of “Transformers 2,” has already checked out of the Hotel Bethlehem, said Dennis Costello, the hotel’s general manager.

Fox presumably was in town to film a scene at Bethlehem Steel for the DreamWorks movie about giant shapeshifting robots from another planet. It’s not clear when Fox was on the set, but filming for the scene began Monday night and ended this morning.

As of this afternoon, crew members could be seen packing up their equipment on the former Bethlehem Steel site.

The Transformers are coming….

Apparently the remnants of Bethlehem Steel are appealing to Autobots and Decepticons.

A film crew from ”Transformers 2” will bring those shape-shifting robots to life in south Bethlehem next month for a movie scene in front of the iconic furnaces.

Of course, no one will see the robots because they’re computer-generated. But anyone will be able to see the action at the old Steel site as the filmmakers transform it into a fictional Chinese city populated by people from the Lehigh Valley.

The next “must see” movie..

RIP – Jeff Healey

Ξ March 6th, 2008 | → 0 Comments | ∇ Movies, Music, RIP |

Jeff Healey, a Canadian guitarist, singer and songwriter whose band sold millions of blues-rock records and who also pursued a passion for old-time jazz, playing the trumpet and clarinet, died on Sunday in Toronto. He was 41. He died of lung cancer, his publicists said. Jeff had battled cancer since age 1, when a rare form of retinal cancer known as Retinoblastoma claimed his eyesight.”

I always liked alot of Jeff’s music, and Road House has a special place in my DVD collection as that one movie that is so bad, you just keep watching it over and over and over. My wife bought me the DVD as a ‘gag’ gift because she says I want the movie on TV every time it’s on. Jeff and his band had a small role in the movie.

Bourne Again!

Ξ February 26th, 2008 | → 2 Comments | ∇ Movies |

I’m a huge fan of the Jason Bourne movie series (Identity, Supremacy, Ultimatum) and today it was announced that Matt Damon has signed on for the 4th installment in the series.  Sweet!

Universal Studios says the star will return to play the amnesiac spy once more.

On the heels of ‘The Bourne Ultimatum’ winning three Academy Awards, Daily Variety reports that Universal Studios has wrangled MATT DAMON and director PAUL GREENGRASS to commit to a fourth Jason Bourne film.

In junket interviews for ‘Ultimatum,’ Damon had implied he was done with the franchise after three movies. But huge box office and a close working relationship with Greengrass — who directed ‘The Bourne Supremacy’ and ‘The Bourne Ultimatum’ — may have been the deciding factors in his choice to return.

Sunday night, ‘The Bourne Ultimatum’ scored a hat trick with Oscars for Best Film Editing, Best Sound Editing and Best Sound Mixing.
