As our vacation time winds down, we decided to go to the movies and dinner last night down at the Promenade in Saucon Valley. We saw I Now Pronounce You Chuck and Larry at the Rave and then grabbed a bite at Red Robin.
The movie was “good”. It’s what you would expect from this type of movie. There were some humorous moments and some predictable cliche’ ones as well. Overall, I enjoyed it and how could you not enjoy Jessica Biel in this?
As some of you might know by now, I’ve been setting up some e-commerce shops and have two that are now up and operational.

Lastly, I am also a huge fan of vintage and historic sports car racing. I’m a member of both the SVRA and HSR and attend a couple of races a year to shoot photography. Currently, my schedule only allows my twice a year trips to Watkins Glen, but I hope to expand on that perhaps next year. With that, I have a website called The Racing Historian which although it has been up for a year now, it is still very much in the beginning / planning stages of development. However the Museum Gallery is in full swing and I have alot of my photography images up and available for purchase in varying sizes of prints. We also have some forums so stop by and say hello!
Yep, this week Cheryl and I are on a “Plaster Cruise”. We’re painting the 3rd bedroom which for the most part has been used as a ‘catch all’ room. With a 107 year old house, dealing with plaster walls is always so much fun. Luckily, we had done some repair work and sanding several months ago and put up a layer or two of primer. So ‘all’ we had to do was tape up all the edging around two windows, primary door, closet door, and the baseboard around the room. Then we painted the ceiling with that cool goes on pink – changes to white when dries ceiling paint. Surprisingly it works very well and applies nicely. Then, two coats of paint on the walls and edging, a coat of primer on all woodwork around windows, doors, and baseboard, and then a coat (or perhaps 2) of white gloss on the woodwork. As of right now, all that remains is that final coat of paint on the woodwork. “My” plan is to turn the room into a nice “reading” room with a new LCD TV at some point. We’ll need to pick up a couple of nice chairs and table. The initial idea was to use it as a spare guest room with a sleeper sofa and add our old TV in there. However, we decided we would get more utility out of using it as a “reading” room and purchase one of those AeroBeds for whenever we have company.
It’s “vacations” like this that make sitting in my office look real good right about now. The good news is after this is done, I’m doing nothing more other than perhaps wash and wax the vehicles or mow the lawn. We may take a day trip up to Bushkill Falls as well. Might be a nice hike to take some nice pictures with the camera depending on the weather.
